one of the greatest actresses in recent memory, art-house-cinema queen tilda swinton gave the performance of her career in virginia woolf's adaptation of orlando -- a character who lives for four hundred year, both as a man and a woman, after promising queen elizabeth I (quentin crisp) that he will never grow old. set against awe-inspiring scenery and featuring oscar-winner sandy powell's gorgeous costumes, swinton, as orlando, more than proves herself as an exemplary actress.
