i really didn't like how francis ford coppola (as always) gave roles to the majority of his emotively-challenged family in this underrated 1987 picture (sofia as nancy and nicholas cage as charlie), but it did finally offer audiences the chance to see turner as something other than a slinky, seductive sex-pot, carving out a genuinely under-appreciated and exceptionally good film career.
